It is often hard for families and friends to watch the women they care about be in so much pain and have their lives and dreams put on old while they find a way of managing this disease and it's associated issues. The impact this disease has on women can be quite isolating at times and it can be hard for some people to talk openly about a gynaecological disease that many still feel is taboo.
We hear the same story over and over from family members, friends and partners, feeling helpless and unsure how to support their girlfriends, wives, sisters, daughters, mothers, friends and so on.
So here is an opportunity for them to show their support in a practical way. Think of it as a chance for your support teams to meet and talk to other women's support teams and be part of a bigger network of people who understand. Events are being planned around Australia for March 28th 2015 so ask your friends and family if they will come to an event, wear yellow with pride and share their stories with others. Ask them to share posts, share our website, support us and help us raise funds and sponsorship.
If your family and friends want to share their experiences with others we would love to hear from them through our Endo Champions program, head over to the page to read our stories and find out how you can share your story or that of your support team. We'd love to hear from you.
